I totally agree! Especially with JSON being used so heavily for configuration these days, comments are essential.
JSON files that are hand-edited SHOULD permit comments. Any text/config file that is hand-edit SHOULD allow comments. I don't care whether it is "proper JSON".

I don't know why, but I still get a little nervous *every* time I start a recording session. I know I can edit things, I have a script and notes, but mentally I still stress about it.
